Hopefully you all had a wonderful break. Welcome back to reality!
:)
This week you will need to shoot your raw footage for your documentary. Also, you will need to come up with at least 20 questions to ask your subjects. These should be 'how' and 'why' questions that require more than a yes, no, or one word answer.
Remember, a good documentary shows both sides of an issue and therefore you should show both sides as well. In other words, make sure you have plenty of interviews that cover all angles of your subject.
Also this week you will begin writing the narration for your video. The narration should be written 'Broadcast Style' (i.e. the sentences should be short and too the point. You aren't trying to write a novel, but instead you are just trying to move the story along).
Raw footage is due next Monday
Video 1 students: Did you remember to do your reading? We will have a test next week on the material listed in the previous post. I want you to read it BEFORE we have a discussion in class. I would advise you to take detailed notes.
Welcome back. I hope some of you had a chance to hit the slopes as much as I did...
